Pousada Solar da Ferradurinha

Super comfortable beds, we stayed in a room that had a king bed and beautiful view from the balcony. Had incredible nights sleep. The breakfast is served on the deck and is also amazing with a nice variety. Proximity to the beaches is super (less than 5 minutes to the closest one!) Even with a proximity to the beach, the place still feels very tranquil and peaceful. Hospitality of the owner, Leonardo, and his staff is really wonderful. Something to note is that it isn't very close to the city centre. Consider renting a car or scooter to move around if that's what you're after. We ordered ubers, which took on average 15 minutes to arrive. Low pressure in the shower, which is quite usual but something to note for people with long hair.

breakfast was very good and fresh, and the location is extremely good: it is at about 10 min walking to 2 of the best beaches in Buzios. We were able to watch sea turtles at the Ferradurinha beach, it was amazing. The room was very clean, it was big and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very kind: the water heater in the shower was not working, but they repaired it in a matter of a few minutes, borrowed us a hair dryer, and helped us start the air conditioning. Even though there is no parking lot, you can park your car in the street at about 30 m, below the hill. It seems safe, nothing happened to the car.

There was a miscommunication regarding transfer to the Rio airport... as a consequence, i ended up renting a car just the day before. they don't check the bookings.com chat often enough. The staff doesn't speak english, we communicated speaking spanish very slowly. You could hear people talking outside your door, and probably they could hear you inside the room. The wooden structures near the pool could use a bit of paint. It is at the foot of a hill, so you will need to carry your luggage up a short but steep little walk. In spite of all of this, I think the good points compensate these points.

It was amazing. You had a beautiful view and our room was huge and the tub in overlooking was beautiful. I literally woke up and walked to the beach. It was like a 5 minute walk. If I ever come back I’m staying here again.
