Absolutely nothing. I can only imagine that the ‘good’ reviews they have are fake and have been conjured up by the property, as it is absolutely vile

Where to even start?! I called ahead in the morning before booking to check that they had strong WiFi and check that there was a bath in the room. They said yes to both, so I booked. On arrival, I got told there wasn’t a bath in the room and that to upgrade to one I had to pay more. I then explained that I had asked about it over the phone, at which point the manager accused me of lying then threatened to cancel my booking on the spot. I had very limited time to check in and get on a conference call as I explained to him, so he exploited that situation to get more money out of me. I did my call on my 5G through my phone as the WiFi didn’t work, then inspected the room fully and found bed bugs in the bed and hairs in the sheets, plus marks all over the duvet. I went downstairs to alert the manager. He wasn’t there and I had to wait 45 minutes. When he finally arrived, he came to look and claimed that I must have caused all of the marks, that the sheets were were freshed, and that the bugs weren’t bugs (as he brushed them onto the floor with his hands). Naturally I left immediately, he refused to refund me, and now, over 24 hours later, without any provocation, he is sending me written abuse on the booking.com messenger. How is this even allowed to happen?!! Do not ever stay here. You will be making a grave mistake.

Location was ideal. We wanted to sample the amazing Indian restaurant but it was closed due to the roadworks etc. but will return. The owner arrange for a local takeaway to deliver our food and ate in the bar. More than adequate. Will use again.
