The Cluanie Inn

The location was beautiful. Such great views and some walking trails right by the Inn. Breakfast was also very good.

The location - right on the road to Skye in a very beautiful spot. None of it was their merit.

We stayed in room 15. When we entered, the both TVs were working which was very unusual. When we switch them off the reason became clear. On the roof of the kitchen (right under the room) there were some installations and the noise was constant and very disturbing. These installations also created vibrations, which could be sensed even when we were lying in bed. The terrible noise and vibeations did not stop during the night and it was still going on until we left. I asked for an invoice at the reception upon checking out and they gave me a proforma invoice under the name of Booking.com. After some discussion and only after mentioning the tax authorities, they promised to send it to me, but they did not. I had to write them again at the Booking site to get it. We went to a lot of places in Scotland and found out that their prices (room and food) are about 30% higher than everywhere including Hilton.

Es war perfekt! Wir haben eine Rundreise durch Schottland gemacht und dies war die, mit weitem Abstand, beste Unterkunft ( und dabei nicht die teuerste!) Das Personal war sehr freundlich und gab einem zu jeder Zeit das Gefühl wirklich willkommen zu sein. Egal ob beim Empfang, beim Frühstück oder abends im Restaurant. Das Frühstück war großartig, es gab alles was es braucht und man saß in einem großzügigen und sehr gemütlich eingerichteten Raum. Alles was wir im Restaurant gegessen haben war ebenfalls fantastisch. Das Zimmer war großzügig und sehr gut ausgestattet, die Betten sehr bequem. Die gesamte Einrichtung des Hotels war sehr hochwertig, alles sehr sauber und stilvoll.

Nichts hätte besser sein können!

Parking plentiful. Checking in was fine.

Was on the ground floor. Unfortunately, the walls either side of my room were paper thin. I could hear every word and sound, cough etc etc from both rooms. Not a quality experience after paying over £200 for a single room. Some of the restaurant staff need to take a bit more ‘notice’ of single travellers of which there is a growing number. Not impressed. Staff were more concerned giving service to non single travellers at the restaurant. I would be concerned if they compromised my reputation and business.

Lovely personnel, great food, incredibly pet-friendly. the hotel is located in a beautiful location directly on route to the Isle of Skye. We would go there again. Also the restaurant is recommended.
