The breakfast was excellent

We booked this accommodation because we were looking forward to eating in the restaurant but after booking, we were emailed to notify us that the restaurant was closed. We would not have booked accommodation if we had known.

Breakfast was really nice. Staff were brilliant. Room decor was great, lovely bathroom.

The music system needs an overhaul, whoever thought recessed speakers into the ceiling beneath the rooms was a good idea needs to be shot. It's AWFUL. The bass thumping through the room when you are trying to rest is literally mental torture. 4 star for me would include basics such as hand soap (that's not a toiletry it's an essential). To be honest 4 star should include toiletries! £9.50 for a small bottle of Prosecco is trying to make up funds for a less busy bar. Unacceptable. Staying elsewhere tonight and it's £6.50. Bar sofas were very much worse for wear, exposed foam in the arms- when you are charging a premium for the drinks at least have the decency to allow somewhere comfortable to sit. Room was unlocked when we got back from a day out. Turns out the cleaner thought she couldn't open the door- but had left it open. On booking 'Food and Drink' said restaurant on site. Email a few days before said the restaurant is not open Mon/ Tues and on querying I should have known 'Food and Drink' didn't have the full info but to also check 'Facilities'. I then had repeated emails telling me to book for a restaurant that wasn't open!

Room was fantastic. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Loved having a bath as well as a shower. Nice spacious bathroom and lovely bedroom with wardrobe and plenty of space. Loved all the variety of teas on offer in our room.

The only criticism is that the room was quite stuffy so was always very warm despite leaving the window wide open in the daytime and during the evening but I do appreciate the weather was hot outside.

We asked for twin beds when we booked and also made a phone call to confirm the arrangements when we arrived the room was made up with one large bed.

Lovely peaceful village location. Really comfortable well designed rooms - we stayed in Fowberry Tower. Excellent comfortable bed and great shower room. Food was very good with an interesting varied menu .

Needs a dimmer on the ceiling lights. Otherwise it’s super. Lots of dogs in the bar so not great if you don’t like dogs !
