The welcome and comfortable settees by the log burner.

Because there was a party in we had to eat in the bar with a bar menu. Our last visit was made by the good and interesting menu. Breakfast was okay apart from the orange juice which was past it's best and slightly fizzy.

Decent breakfast, lovely old building, friendly staff, room was fine.

Sound travelled very clearly to our room from the pub - in room 3 we could hear what people in the bar below were saying until late at night. Not restful and disappointing. The following night we had a room above a different pub where there was no issue with sound insulation.

Such a cosy spot! Lovely big room, comfy bed and clean room. The pub downstairs and staff were lovely too

We was above the bar area very noisy at times The bed creaked every time we moved so kept awake. even though it was very comfortable

my husband waited at bar but was ignored when a group of girls arrived my food gammon was overcooked impossible to cut with steak knife
