Location was great. Staff nice and great breakfast

Room hadn't had a proper duster for put around for I'd say 3 months. !! Appalling given its ratings and certainly not worth the price of £150 per night. I would lny have stayed if I'd seen the rooms beforehand.

Breakfast could have been tastier. Water pressure was unreliable, the light switch didn’t work and there was rust on the bathtub. But that’s nitpicky - overall it was nice :)

This place is very cosy with a welcoming feel. It's very close to the town and convenient for the coast, which is why I was in the area, walking the South West Coast Path from West Bay. The beer was very reasonably priced; where can you get a pint for under a fiver these days (Jun '26)?! The room was smallish but very comfortable and perfectly adequate for one. I slept well. Shower etc all fine. There was a nice 'locals' vibe in the bar in the evening. Parking was available nearby at a reasonable rate; free from 1800 - 0800 and if you buy a ticket for, say, three hours at 1700, it's valid for the balance of time the next morning. That was useful. The breakfast and breakfast service was excellent. TV and wifi all good.

Not much I can think of that could be improved.

Perfect location. All staff friendly and welcoming. Partner liked the real ales sold in the bar. Great breakfast.

Good breakfast, with helpful staff. The room was comfy and had everything required for an overnight stay.

Excessive noise as the room overlooked the beer garden area and even with the windows closed it was too loud to rest/sleep until the pub closed.
