The White House Inn - Whitby

I loved the location, it's perfect , Breakfast was amazing. Loved watching the golf in the wind this morning. Fabulous Parmo lady night.

Stayed in the annexe, would have liked a warmer duvet. Nothing to complain about.

We loved the location and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was very good.

Sadly the property is very tired and our bedroom was shabby and not particularly clean, we found an eye shadow brush on the carpet. We couldn’t take a bath as the water was freezing, so took the shower option which ran either freezing cold or very hot.

The views were lovely breakfast very nice

The mattress on the bed was too hard!, the shower didn’t work very well

The rooms where perfect very clean and spacious the outdoor seating area was beautiful with the views the breakfast in the morning was the best I have had in a while will definitely be returning

Nothing can't fault a thing maybe a longer breakfast slot as we didn't get in until 12pm so it was an early start to make it for breakfast

The room was a good size with a balcony and had a fantastic view. The food was top quality, and although it wasn't a large menu and some items were not available, it was ok for me . Breakfast was exceptional and set me up for the day. Location was great, and it took me about 50 mins there and back to walk to the top of the harbour (cook statue) at a slow pace. Being able to park the car on site was a big plus as I hate having to park on the road at night. Took me 4 mins to drive down to the main harbour (opp the co op) . Even though I was only there for 2 nights the room was refreshed with towels and toilet roll. I like having the settee in there and seating area by the tv as well as the bed. Seemed popular for non residential guests too.

I thought the TV was on the small size and could have done with being on the wall over the table/kettle instead of the mirror . I had to move the seating to be able to watch it on the wall behind the seats and table.

Liked the pub and restaurant. Lovely , traditional and felt welcoming . Plenty of staff . Fish and chips amazing . Room was just the right size . We paid for the best room with lovely panoramic view, pricey but worth it for the sea view when you could see it as it was foggy . On a clear day breathtaking .

Only criticism is I thought for pub food it was a little expensive . We only found 2 plug sockets in our room .
