Superbe endroit, avec une jolie vue. La nourriture est bonne.

Personnel sympathique mais sans plus. Les bungalows sont assez petits et peu confortables.

Par contre, il faut signaler que l'accueil est inexistant. La seule fois où nous avons demandé une excursion, le responsable, jeune et parlant bien anglais a bien voulu se déplacer pour oser nous proposer une excursion snorkeling pour voir les raie manta à laquelle il nous a assuré que c'était la haute saison alors que par la suite nous avons appris que ce n'était absolument pas la saison, et cette excursion pour une somme de 1.200.000 roupies alors que c'était à 250m de l'île sachant que le lendemain pour repartir à l'île de Kri nous avons pris un bateau pour 700000 roupies et là 45 minutes de bateau. Je vous déconseille toute excursion à partir de cet établissement et pour finir il a osé nous de dire que les palmes étaient offert jusqu'au lendemain matin pour nous demander au moment de partir 200000 roupies. Nous avons refusé et en partant cette personne a osé nous insulter, ce qui est inacceptable vis-à-vis d'un client, surtout que nous avons consommé dans l'établissement et plus qu'il ne faut avec cette excursion hors de prix. La note est donc au minimum car par-dessus tout, insulter un client dans l'hôtellerie est juste inacceptable. Le but de ce message est d'avertir les futurs clients de cet homestay pour éviter de se retrouver dans la même situation.

L’accueil, les hôtes, le lieu paradisiaque, la simplicité, les poissons par milliers en masque tubas, les tortues, la nourriture excellente ! Le village faire un foot avec les enfants etc

Usal is a wonderful cook. We had great food for our 4 day stay, there was some sort of fish dish everyday. And there was plenty of it. The bed was comfy even though it was a Mattress on the floor. Toilets and showers were clean enough. They have no diving at the homestay but we went diving with Aborek dive homestay and it was brilliant. (Not aborek dive shop - they had terrible equipment) you can snorkel right from the homestay. The reef is AMAZING - sharks / rays / eels / crocodile fish / Lion fish / shrimps - just fantastic!

The room had no shelves or hooks so everything was just on the floor. A storm came through and the water seeped through and got everything wet… The hammock was comfy but the lounger could do with a cushion. The room only has an inward facing door so the brezze doesn’t sweep through - so EXTREMELY hot during the day. Starlink Wi-Fi was great the first night but was weak for the next couple - I had to hotspot meetings instead so do not rely on it being perfect. Bring 4G, a washing line, a hand fan 🪭

amazing island and homestay ran by a very helpful family

Very upset... We didnt feel welcomed when we arrived, nobody introduced us to the facilities. They didnt mention the pickup from Wasai was 1'000'000 rp, just asked for the money as soon as we arrived. When the owners came to pick us up in Wasai they didnt even say hello to us, very rude! They were obsessed with money, first thing coming up in the conversation when we were planning boat trips. We didnt have enough cash to pay for a boat trip, my bank would take three days for processing the payment and they would remind us every day they still didnt get the money. We also got severe skin allergies behind the tighs due to the contact with the matresss (dirt or insects?) we dont know and no sheet to sleep with we had to use our sorong. Finally, one payment for a specific boat trip didnt go through on time when we left, again they texted me every day to know where is the money, while I kept telling them we would pay but we had issues with our bank (indonesia high risk country for payments), when they actually got the money, they didnt even send a confirmation message. We planned a lot of boat trips with them for 9.8 million rp + we stayed 9 days with them and paid 34 CHF per person, so 68 per day and when we asked a commercial gesture for the boat transfer back to Wasai (1 million) they refused even to offer just 200'000 rp. Then, when we planned an expensive boat trip to Wayag (6 millions) they lied to us saying it would take 4 hours round trip, whereas it took 9 hours in total, they lied to make sure we would go and pay for the boat trip. The owners dont speak english, it's complicated to communicate with them and when we talk to them they dont bother making eye contact as if we have no significance to them except from our money. Last but not least, it's called sunset homestay but we dont see the sunset from there. We dont recommend this place, there are a lot of other guesthouse on the island which are much nicer.
