Castaway Surf Retreat

This was one of the best stays we have ever been at. Very hard to fault. The staff become like your family. You are constantly over looking yo-yos with great food and drinks at the accomodation. The staff helped organise everything from transport to scooter rental. Thank you very much for having us!

Bien disons rien a part la plage !

A l'arrivé une chambre deluxe qui devait avoir 2 lit separé bien non , apres ils nous ont attribués la bonne chambre , demande scooter a l'arrivé pas de scoot attente de 2 heures pour en avoir La chambre : une clim manuelle année 2000 trés bruyante avec fuite , rideau un bout de tissus cloué lumiere du jour tt le temps , salle de bain salle , pommeau de douche avec jet inexistant , je me savonne et coupure d'eau pendant 1h , ils font des travaux pour une autre chambre a coté solution attendre 2 petites savonnette , matelat dur , lit avec insecte qui te rampe dessus j'ai dormi dans une moustiquaire a voir si pas punaise Pour dormir juste impossible entre la clim et le bruit de la route derriere Et le bar que dire , sale , le personnel pas formés et pas accueillant , oublier la qualité du petit dejeuner juste pas bon et eviter le café Bruit le soir jusqu'a 2h et bagarre dans la cours de l'hotel , une personne avec dent cassé et hematome le lendemain , la police qui est intervenue Nous devions rester 7 jours 2 jours nous a suffit et nous avons écourtée cet endroit Aucun geste commerciale de l' établissement ni d'excuse ! Endroit a oublier

The staff, view and grounds were lovely. Comfy beds.

Fridge wasn’t overly cold. The “loft” needs new shade cloth for the afternoon as it gets very hot up there and could do with a stand fan/extra ceiling fan in the ‘lounge’ area as no aircon there.

Such a peaceful and serene place. A few minutes drive away from Yoyos and Tropical for surf, footsteps away from the beach for a swim and fantastic sunsets. We ended up prolonging our stay here. They’ve set up different chill out areas like hammocks, pool table and swing around the resort, which creates a nice social environment with the other guests of the resort. Buffet breakfast was spectacular, especially is you have a big appetite 😁 and it was great to have their restaurant open at all times. We will definitely miss this place!

Wished they did a cleanup of the room every few days. We stayed there for 8 nights and they only cleaned it 2x (one time we had to ask). A pair of our shoes were stolen from just outside property gate entrance, so next time I’d be more aware of where I place things and lock our room door regularly. Won’t stop me from coming back though 😉
