We spent a week with Ravindu and his parents at Pleasant View and I have to say: although we often experienced hospitality in Sri Lanka, this was by far the warmest and friendliest family we stayed with during our two-month trip. We really felt at home. The breakfast is excellent, varied and they always paid attention to what we liked to eat - not to mention the marvellous view from the breakfast table! We were also brought tea, sweets and bananas in the afternoon on both days that we spent in the accommodation due to bad weather. We were able to experience how families celebrate New Year in Sri Lanka and were even invited on this day to dinner - all without any expectation of anything in return. Even after we had already checked out, we were given a free food pack for the journey! So much friendliness and hospitality is exceptional, even in Sri Lanka 😊 The room is also very nicely furnished, the bed is very comfortable and when you wake up in the morning, you can look directly into the Highlands. The bathroom is clean and there is hot water. The distance to the city (about 15 minutes by tuk-tuk) is also manageable. We were allowed to rent Ravindu's scooter and were also able to order a tuk-tuk very cheaply from Ravindu's friend at any time. To summarise: One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka! We would love to come back next time 😊

The family who runs the place is super kind! Also the free breakfast was nice. The view itself is also nice and quiet. Community place is nice too!

No warm water in the shower, wifi was not always working well but maybe because of the bad weather, bathroom was not great.

We had a very pleasant stay here. The family is really lovely, the room was big and clean and the breakfast was good! It’s a bit out of town but you get a great view and they helped us with providing a nice tuktuk driver.

We had a great time here. Very friendly hosts who helped us to organize our walk to Ella Rock and a trip to the Nine Arches Bridge. Great food, comfortable room.
