Location: 10 minutes drive from Montreux, close to the train station. Very nice and charming family-owned hotel. Very friendly and helpful hostess. Good breakfast, served on white tablecloth with silver-plated cutlery. Large parking lot behind the building (entrance from the side street), 6 parking spots in front of the hotel. Attached restaurant, looks like a part of the hotel (it was closed during my stay, probably due to off-season). Nice room on the top floor with the balcony with city view. Electrical wall outlets (Swiss and Italian) are different from the other European and American ones, so bring a plug adapter (the hosts may have a loaner, but I'm not sure).

Long stairways and no elevator, which is inconvenient if you have heavy luggage (I guess that's the main reason for some negative reviews). For unloading your stuff better use the parking lot behind the building. In the room no extras typical for some modern hotels (coffee maker, microwave, mini-fridge). On Saturday evening everything around was closed after 18:00, the only place to eat and drink was The Blonay bar (10-min. walk).
