Excellent location - close to restaurants, zocalo and malecon. Easy to meet other guests in the shared courtyard. The owner, Liz, lives at Casa Mangoes and provided excellent recommendations for tours and restaurants.

Casa Mangos is located on a quiet street with a couple of restaurants very close by and a number of others about a ten minute walk away. We enjoyed the free coffee provided by the staff every morning. It was nice not having to run out out and buy it each day. The room was very quiet, clean and we enjoyed sitting in the beautiful little courtyard outside where we were able to meet other guests. Supermarkets were about a 10-15 minute walk away. The waterfront beach area is about a ten minute walk away

There is a slight sewer gas smell at certain times from the bathroom drains. That is the only small annoyance we noticed. We were able to remedy that by closing the drains. They odor did not go beyond the bathroom. Other than that, we don't have anything negative to say about Casa Mangos. Sure, one could pay significantly more money and opt to stay directly on the main promenade across the street from the sea and beach but it would be noisier and still not directly on the beach.

Everything was spotlessly clean and in pristine repair. The floors inside and out, the walls, the windows, all spotless with fresh looking paint. Every lock, blind and latch worked smoothly, without exception. Good coffee was provided, and real dishes and glass ware that matched. The complimentary beverages in the refrigerator upon my arrival was a nice touch. Jackie was there to receive me and called a taxi for my pickup. The whole process was pleasant and seamless.
