Great Stay in the calm forest only a few minutes outside Nelson! Mark and his family were super hosts, they gave us a lot of great tips for the area.

Peaceful and away from any distractions that get in the way of connecting with nature. Very clean, with a good shower and comfortable loft bed.

The driveway is a challenge if you aren't extremely fit and a skilled driver. Knowing the cellphone coverage and WiFi limitations before booking would be handy to know, however I understand being disconnected is part of what makes it so peaceful.

We loved being in the nature in a nice cabin, surrounded by birds and the nice smell of the trees. The owners are very nice and helped with the luggage as we had a steep walk to the cabin.

Unique and spectacular location - a highlight of our NZ trip for the whole family. The cabins are super comfortable and the common area really cosy and homely. The owners are extremely helpful and have great tips for what to see and do - even brought in our washing from the rain ;) Also - the best shower pressure in the whole of NZ…. And we’ve had some great showers! Located in a gorgeous part of Nelson… 8 mins from cbd, passing great playgrounds, river walks and swim holes … Fully recommend for families, sports enthusiasts or even someone just wanting to get away from it all with a good book - the perfect holiday location We loved our stay

Lush surroundings: the tiny cabins are set back into the forest. You sleep in total darkness and quiet. You awaken to bird song. There’s a hike right from the cabin, and owner Mark is full of good advice of 1,000 other things to do in the region. It’s a relaxed place with a shared kitchen kept neat and tidy and well-equipped. We were there as a couple and enjoyed meeting other travellers, but the place can also be booked for big groups which would be excellent for mountain biking enthusiasts and others. The climb up to the platform bed is pretty steep but the bed was cozy and firm and comfortable.

The sink in the bathroom is so tiny, it’s pretty much impossible not to make a bit of a puddle. Maybe one size larger??
