Pousada Juliana

Lovely little hotel with the back entrance leading right onto the street directly in front of the beach. Location wise it is unbeatable! The room was clean with really good air conditioning. The breakfast was also really good. I couldn't communicate too much with the staff as I don't know Portuguese but they were all really friendly and smiley so that was nice.

The WiFi wasn't great but that's an issue on the whole island. It didn't bother me but might be difficult if you are remote working

I would not recommend this pousada. In our room, there were dirty bedsheets, cockroaches, and a broken AC unit and door. For the price, this was a huge disappointment. The location is close to the wooden dock and has a lovely breakfast, but the lack of cleanliness and the amount broken appliances made this stay overwhelmingly negative.
