This hotel was pretty basic but everything was enough. The host was very helpful and supportive: he gave me a very warm room and proposed a breakfast. The location is great - just around 10 min from the train station.

There was construction going on outside and it was a bit noisy early in the morning.

I am 80 years old and have had a few breakfasts in my time. I have never had a full English breakfast to compare with what I had at The Fox. The provenance of the eggs, the mushrooms and the sausages and the bacon were described, named farm by farm, by the host and I was so impressed that I decided on that breakfast instead of cereal. It was the best I've had in my life . I sent photographs to various family and friends to share its magnificence

The clock on the wall ticked, but I just removed it and put it under a pillow while I slept as the neigbourhood is otherwise extremely quiet
