"A very enjoyable return"

The hotel is in an old building that dates back centuries, and, whilst a little tired, it has bags of atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive and the fish and chips meal in the restaurant was delicious. The bar has a selection of good ales. Breakfast in the morning was copious and very enjoyable. The hotel is only 5 - 10 mins away from the port and we had time for a full English before moving on to catch the 09:00 ferry.

Ein lebhafter und schöner Pub, eine ganz reizende Begrüßung und ein uriges und gemütliches Zimmer. Nettes Abendessen. Wer Pubs und originelle Ausstattung mag, ist hier bestens aufgehoben! Vielen Dank!

The location & the overall appearance of the accommodation was great, Shaz looked after us & made us feel very welcomed as did all the staff. Very clean & tidy. Great food. Breakfast was great & we also had the Sunday roast which was tasty.

Parking was the only issue but it was to be expected in such an old part of town & small quaint roads.
