Sa Rest Inn

Lovely host, feels like a real family run place (which it is). Room was spotless, bed was comfy although pillows could've been better. Shower was ACTUALLY HOT, first hot hot shower in Sri Lanka in over a month. I had food once in the restaurant downstairs, massive portions. Sad I didn't get to sample the breakfast which looked delicious. Location was close to the city centre, you can also walk like 10 mins to a great viewpoint. It was on the road so can be a little loud at night with cars and dogs, so bring ear plugs. The owner also offered a free train station pick up and drop off, and incredibly reasonable price for dropping off at Lipton's seat.

Good location just a short, scenic walk into town. I chose to have dinner and breakfast at the property and they were delicious. The host dropped me at Lipton’s seat early in the morning to watch the sunrise and waited for me to hike down.

It is a beautiful accommodation in Haputale. The owner is a very pleasant gentleman who always tries to help with everything. In the beginning he picked me up at the train station with his Tuktuk. He then put me up in a room on the top floor with a truly magnificent view of the countryside. The room is big and perfectly clean. If you are interested he will take care of trips for a reasonable price if not you can go for a walk in the really nice tea plantations and get lost there a little. You could spend weeks just walking around Haputale it is so beautiful here. At the end of my stay the owner took me to the bus again and made sure I got on the right one. Food was also good. Stayed at Rest Inn Hotel and had a wonderful experience! The staff was incredibly helpful, we cam too early they were so helpfull and assisting us in renting a bike. The hotel offers a stunning view, very close to town walking distance, and Uncle was exceptionally sweet. Highly recommend

The room is big and the balcony wonderful. Also the bathroom is clean! Had a great stay and the breakfast and dinners were delicious :) one morning took a sunrise tuctuc ride with the owner to the Lipton seat, can totally recommend!
