The beds and the location

The parking is so crowded and expensive

Our stay here was exceptional. We loved the view out of our room and we could hear the nearby cow bells all night while the windows were open. The room was very clean and large. The bathroom was extremely nice and luxurious. The added bonus of the indoor pool, two spa sauna rooms, and an outdoor hot tub was the cherry on top after a long day hiking the Appenzell region. The breakfast was excellent and the entire hotel was very pristine. Additionally, the hotel is next to a camping area, so there was laundry facilities on site where we washed our clothes. We chatted with a local, who could read the directions for the machine (make sure to bring laundry detergent!). Additionally have coins not paper money.

The only downfall was that since the hotel is a little out of town, not many of the staff spoke English. The owner did, so often times the staff would go get him to help with questions. We just had our Google Translate open to help. The whole staff though, was very nice.

Clean and tidy

No AC No fitness facility

Some cleanings must be done properly on terrace ( smoking cigarettes rest everywhere on the terrace… was not cleaned at all…) and to scare the guest with flying umbrellas on the thunderstorm. All rest was perfect, specially the hospitality .
