Lee House Inn

Beautifully maintained historical house. Heather and Ann were wonderful. We would love to stay again.

Breakfast was a little late for us. we like to get up and going in the morning

Who can resist a homemade breakfast that begins with orange juice, coffee and a fruit & nut parfait, followed by homemade biscuits with sausage gravy and strawberry jam, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, and finishes with a homemade strawberry cream puff and a slice of carrot cake from sweet, accommodating hosts?

The room was so clean and the beds were very comfortable

We had the best visit to maysville despite the rain and blizzard they came on the day we left. Lee house Inn is beautiful our room was accommodating and Missy makes the best breakfast and made us feel at home. We will be back in the spring or summer and Lee house will be the only place we stay. We initially were only staying one night but extended it to two because we loved it there so much! Thank you for a great weekend getaway! You will not regret booking with them.

Not only was the breakfast just “ the best”- Missy’s company and welcome made my stay there exceptionable. I sincerely believe her “ biscuits must be the best on the planet- being a NZer we call biscuits “ scones” - we think we have a high standard innNZ - now thanks to Missy might have to reassess. I was staying by myself at Lee House so the friendliness was most appreciated.

Maybe I missed it and it’s not really important but I would have liked a long mirror in room 9.

The staff was extremely friendly.

After booking and paying for an included breakfast, I was called and they said that the could not make breakfast for us, because of their prior commitments. Someone told me that they would be able to make me a muffin, but the person doing the cooking said that person "decided not to show up today," thus no muffin or any breakfast, despite this being included in the purchase price.

While this is a nice place to stay in Maysville, it was also a bit odd. The renovations are nice, but there were dips and slants in our floor that definitely could have been fixed before putting the carpet down. No one is there at night, so you are basically alone with other guests and what appeared to be a full time tenant. While I appreciate that the cost is supposed to include breakfast, they don't serve it until 10am. 10am is not breakfast. We left to get breakfast (at breakfast time of 7:30) and when we came back to gather our stuff to leave, there were workers throughout the building who didn't know we were there either. I was not happy that after you book, you receive an email stating there is a $50 cleaning charge, which unless you are over two weeks out, you can't cancel then. Just build the cleaning charges into your nightly amount. Was it a cute place, yes. Was it worth almost $200, NO!
