Star Inn Accommodation

Location is perfect! If peace and quiet is what you want, Star Inn is ideal for that!

Price very affordable. I really appreciated staff assistance, even in the absence of the manager. Plenty of storage space and nice big fridge.

Shower facilities should have lockable doors, like as the toilets have. More standard security on doors would be appreciated, i.e. a chain. There is no need for amenities to have gendered signage in this accommodation. I did not feel safe walking a lengthy distance just because I was busting to pee and the toilets closest to me were "men's". The stink of stale cigarettes was not pleasant, but this point is just me being picky given the context of the location and accommodation type.

Nothing was good

The dirt .the noise .the rubbish everywhere.looked as if the room had not been cleaned.thick dust on everything .at 3am someone tried to get into my room .worst place I've ever paid to stay at. Communal camping ground toilets and showers concrete floor disgusting

Price and location

Location was very good. Close to shops and information centre/hard time mine tour.

Charged a deposit several weeks before arrival but denied it upon checkin. Had to show bank history and contact bookings.com for investigation. They eventually realised they did take the money so I'm glad it sorted out. But wasted several hours of my time and I was only in town for a few days. Told the staff TV in my room didn't work. He said he would bring a replacement but never happened.
