Manigelang Villa

We stayed for 3 nights at the Manigelang Villa. The staff was very friendly and very eager to meet the needs of the guests. The rooms were very cozily furnished, and the beds were also very comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would be happy to return.

Very beautiful surroundings and location. Gorgeous views, a lovely spacious room. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and we were very grateful that there is a restaurant on site. Highly recommended for a peaceful and rejuvenating stay.

Just to note that it's about 20 minutes to get anywhere. It's not a big deal if you are okay with getting a scooter or driver, but is worth noting :)

Widoki z hotelu są przepiękne, całe otoczenie jest niesamowite- pełno roślinności, cisza i spokój. Personel bardzo miły i pomocny. Bardzo dobre śniadanie.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à la Manigelang Villa, à Munduk. L’environnement, en pleine jungle, et la piscine nous ont beaucoup plu. Le petit‑déjeuner inclus était satisfaisant, tout comme les repas proposés par le restaurant, entièrement végétarien, avec des imitations très convaincantes de viande et de poisson. Le personnel a vraiment été un atout majeur : disponible, souriant et attentif, il a grandement contribué à la qualité de notre séjour.

Le seul bémol provient de l’emplacement. C’est excellent pour se couper du monde et se retrouver en pleine jungle. Toutefois, il est assez compliqué de se rendre dans les points à visiter car l’hôtel est excentré. Nous avons dû faire appel à un chauffeur privée.

The two bedroom villa is huge, comfortable and well appointed. Most of the staff are very friendly.

It's in a largely agricultural part of Munduk. It's surrounded by small farms and all the associated smells and noises of a farm. For example I smelled what seemed like a strong manure odour near my villa when I arrived. None of the staff acknowledged it when I brought it to their attention. There was loud bleating sheep in the property next door and crowing roosters from across the road. There was also loud motorcycle exhaust noise from local villagers using the adjacent road. Furthermore, there a small temple and woodwork shed nearby, BOTH of which blasted very loud music in the morning and afternoon. I actually walked to those properties and saw that huge speakers they were using. The included breakfast is very basic and I found only barely edible. I'd happily have paid for a better breakfast. Lastly, one staff member, who I'm told is the owner's younger son was actually quite confrontational and hostile on WhatsApp. All in all I cannot agree with all the guests who rave about how fantastic this accommodation is. It's definitely not as peaceful as I would have liked. But for the most part, the family that own and run it are very sweet (with the exception of one) and the villas themselves are very nice and great value for money. Oh yes one last thing, DO NOT FLUSH YOUR TOILET PAPER. If you do you will be severely REPRIMANDED. :)

Cadre magnifique, literie très confortable, personnel accueillant et chaleureux. Chambre cocooning.

Le service est très long, beaucoup d’attente pour la moindre commande sur place. Belle piscine mais relativement froide. Emplacement éloigné de tout.

El hotel tiene unas instalaciones muy cuidadas y limpias. La cabaña que alquilamos era perfecta, la nos pareció muy cómoda. En general se notaba que el dueño le había puesto mucho cariño en cada detalle. Es una zona muy tranquila para relajarse y descansar. Una pena que no pudiéramos estar más tiempo. Por la noche se podía disfrutar de un cielo estrellado sin contaminación lumínica y desde el restaurante ,en días despejados se podría ver el atardecer
