Great value for money.

I loved the fact the room had air conditioning as the temperature when I stayed was in the high twenties and I really struggle with the heat. The property was extremely clean and everything ai needed was there for me. The lady checking us in was a pleasure to talk to and was extremely helpful with telling us all what we needed to know. I would certainly stay again

Excellent location in a lovely, old market town; friendly, helpful staff and owner. The room wasn’t big enough to swing a hamster but was nicely put together so no complaints there.

Be aware that Sunday is apparently Karaoke Night at the Wheatsheaf! What really spoiled our stay, and the day at my daughter’s wedding, was an unnecessarily large, green, emergency luminaire above the door that stayed on all night, prevented the room from getting anything like dark and made sleep very difficult; a friend staying in a different room had exactly the same problem. On the upside, there’s a Superdrug along the road and they sell eye-masks so the second night was better!

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. They provided us with plenty of towels and toiletries. The little extras like the hot chocolate and the flap jacks was a nice little touch.

Only thing really is the noise. But what do you expect from staying above a pub. It looks like it would be a quiet pub but it gets very busy if you’re staying over the weekend. But this doesn’t take away how lovely our stay was and I would 100% stay agin.
