Hotel Naheschlößchen

Das inhabergeführte kleine Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, fußläufig wenige Minuten vom Kurpark entfernt, Die Inhaberin war sehr nett, das Frühstück für ein kleines Hotel ausreichend, Eier wurden nach Wunsch extra zubereitet.

Leider hatte das Restaurant noch Betriebsferien bzw. Ruhetag, weshalb ich zum Abenessen ein geöffnetes Restaurant suchen musste.

Bij aankomst vonden we de deur dicht. Gezien de rotzooi (o.a. oude bankstellen) om het hotel dachten dat deze definitief gesloten was. Geen reactie op telefoon. Op een andere deur een briefje met een ander telefoonnummer waar wel op werd gereageerd. Even laten konden we alsnog inchecken. De auto konden we kwijt op een terrein verderop in de straat. De kamer was redelijk maar klein. De groothoeklens had zijn werk gedaan. Het gezellige restaurant waar we voor gingen lag er troosteloos bij. Geen melding tijdens boeken. In de maand augustus gesloten. Opzoek naar iets anders dan maar. Ontbijt was goed. Voldoende aanwezig.

Das Frühstück war sehr liebevoll zubereitet und abwechslungsreich. Modernes, gemütliches Zimmer.

As we arrived we couldn't see where the parking area for the hotel was so we parked in a restricted spot on the road and checked in. The very friendly staff at check-in told us that their free parking area (on rough ground) was just along the road, no problem. The hotel is a little tired and dated, not as tidy as it could be, our room was on the front facing the main through road but it was very quiet at night, the bed was big and comfortable. The room had a very small shower room with a slightly awkward door but it was all functional. There was no kettle in the room, just a couple of bottles of water. The hotel has a restaurant but as we are vegan there was nothing at all suitable for us, for the same reason the breakfast was restricted but adequate. For our evening meal we went to the Restaurant Auszeit not far along the road by car and had a lovely meal. There are also some eateries just along the road within walking distance, also shops. We enjoyed a walk in the park which is close to the hotel (walking distance, just a few minutes) and had a look at the saltworks (Gradierwerk, Salinen), very interesting.

Breakfast it could be better...

There was a wide choice at breakfast (fresh rolls, bread, home-made jams and marmalade, muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, salad) and in addition to all that eggs were cooked to order. I strongly recommend booking a table for the evening meal as the food is out of this world! The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable.

Nothing in the hotel could have been better, but it will be even nicer when the roadworks just outside have been completed!
