Smuk beliggenhed. God restaurant med fin og velsmagende aftensmad og god morgenmad

Da vi ankom fik vi en nøgle af en tjener som sagde at værelset lå "i et hus på den anden side af vejen". Der lå et par huse og ingen af dem havde et skilt, der knyttede dem til hotellet, Vi gik ind igen på hotellet og bad om hjælp. Et par tjenere gik med udenfor og pegede efter lidt tid på et lille parcelhus. Der var intet der viste at her skulle man overnatte. Ikke engang værelsesnummeret., Det viste sig at hele huset var til os. Overraskende og ikke i overensstemmelse med reservationsbekræftelsen, som beskriver et Superior 2 personers værelse - med udsigt. Det var en noget dårlig oplevelse.

A slightly unusual place, but had a real charm about it, and the food was excellent.

Location was beautiful. We had a lovely view across the Gudenaa River. The hotel was old and had lots of character. The food was very good. There was an iron and ironing board available. There was plenty of parking You can walk along the river bank for a considerable distance in either direction on a gravel path (so not muddy, despite the rain). We were there for my brother's wedding and the hotel had an excellent function room in a lovely setting.

The weather was very wet! Otherwise there wasn't anything to complain about.

Great room. Atmosphere. Superb food. Breakfast included in the price. Superb location. Could not be better.

It was superb

A fantastic hotel, based right on the river, which our room had a view onto. The whole hotel was really nicely designed. The room was great and the bed super comfy (with duvet, which I prefer). Bathroom was a good size and had nice soap and shower gel. Dinner was good and breakfast excellent. The best thing, though, were the staff, who were all super friendly and helpful.

There weren't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room (but it's easy to get a hot drink downstairs). I'd have preferred if the bathroom products avoided using single use plastic. To note, it is just off the main road (which is not particularly busy) and doesn't have other facilities particularly nearby - neither of these things bothered me at all, and once at the hotel, you don't notice the road at all.

The staff were brilliant and the restaurant was excellent. I had to leave early and they provided a simple but tasty breakfast for my colleague and I despite being in the middle of setting up breakfast.
