If you have a ground floor room you need earplugs. Old building with no soundproofing from room above.

Beautiful location gorgeous views. Friendly greeting on arrival. Very nice breakfast. Room was large and had good facilities.

We had a ground floor room. I was woken at 6.30 am by noise from above squeaky floor boards I think. Then about 20 minutes later there was a lot of loud chatter and laughter possibly from the kitchen which was close to our room. If I return I will ask for an upstairs room.

Great location

Nice out of town location but within easy reach of Halifax. We stayed here for a concert at the Piece Hall. Room was a bit small but clean and well furnished. Good choice for breakfast and good food. Ample parking and loads of footpaths from pub if you wanted to go walking

Wifi was poor and our towels had holes / marks ( although they were fresh and clean). Double room was small.

Very relaxed atmosphere...warm welcome .Room was spotless.Beautiful quality bedding.Chocolate bar and biscuit was a nice touch...especially the chocolate.Plenty milk supply.Breakfast exceptional..thought the variety and food quality was spot on.

Capacino served in the bar could have been much better on taste. Payment to settle in full for overnight stay was requested " straight away" upon arrival rather than on check out.

The perfect place to stay when visiting Piece Hall for a concert. The views are beautiful! Our room was clean and cosy with everything we needed, and the food in the pub is delicious!
