Big Sur River Inn

I liked the chairs on the river.

I didn't like the price to stay there. The mattress wasn't comfortable.

Wirklich sehr süße Unterkunft! Sowohl Räumlichkeiten als auch das Restaurant haben Charakter und sind den Zwischenstopp wirklich wert. Und man kann bis 12pm bleiben für den Check-Out!

Preis-Leistung ist schon happig, liegt denke ich daran, dass es kaum Unterkünfte in der Gegend gibt.

we absolutely LOVED the location! It was so beautiful and the restaurant was fantastic. The rooms left a lot to be desired though. They smelled horrible some sort of floral cleaning solution, the ceiling fan had dust caked on, the towel bar fell out of the wall when we tried to hang a towel on it. The place has so much potential. I really hope they can fix the problems in the room because the property is amazing.

The Riverfront rooms are so relaxing to be able to watch from your porch.

No Microwave or Mini Fridge in the room.

Absolutely disgusting. I never write bad reviews but I was going to with this one. When we entered the property through the entry gate, you got a string smell of sewage from the sewer line right below. The floors in the room had a hole in it! NOT KIDDING! This place is SO RUN DOWN DO NOT STAY HERE. This is on the river side where the suites are, WARNING! The carpet and drapes were at least 4-50 years old. And the carpet smelled of urine. SO GROSS. This place is way overpriced.

The only good thing about the property was that it has a river next to it.

The room was okay. There is no AC. Very little amenities. The staff were not friendly.

Location is great right next to the river. We enjoyed the restaurant and the staff was great.

The carpet was dirty and stained. Units need updating. Maintenance is the issue especially in the bathroom. I expected a much better unit for the price we paid.

The dinner at restaurant was fairly good.

Trying to check in required going to the bartender who was also trying to serve drinks, run food and check my party in. Apparently reservations are put in a plastic bin with scribbled names on evelopes. Gave me a key which was not even the correct name on the envelope and told me to cross the highway to my room which was actually a river view room, not across the highway. After approximately 20 minutes I got hold of my daughter and she took us to our room. The carpet was stained, bathroom wasn't clean, dust everywhere, exposed wiring. Terrible. To top it off 07:00 construction started outside my bedroom window. Such a shame as it is a beautiful location but so poorly managed and nothing like it was represented as online. Definitely short staffed!
