Edgewick Inn

As a couple, they gave us a big room with 2 large bed and we don't quite understand but since we were tired to ask the reason we just accept. The mattress makes crackling sounds when u sleep on it and the shower tap was not working and the repair guy came in to fix it. After fixing, the tap still not working well so we asked whether we can changed to other room. They did change a smaller room for us but on the last day of our stay (we stayed 6 nights), around 11.05am, the Manager (or the bos) told us to hurry up for check out when we went to get a cup of hot water in the lobby. Then after another 10mins, the bos (Manager) came knocking on our door loudly as if we did something very wrong to ask us to be quick to check out. Well, usually hotels do give guests some buffer time for check out and will give a call to the room to remind guests for check out instead of came knocking loudly on the door at 11.15am. The ill-mannered and ungracious attitude of this Edgewick Inn Manager (the boss) really shocked us.

Staff sucked. Lady was rude when booking in. Asked guy for extra pillows after checking he said give him 10min and he would bring them up he never did. We were under the impression they had sauna they didn’t. There was old ice cream in freezer. I could go one and on. But just not real clean friendly establishment. Would not stay there again.

Location. Close too the ski area.

TV worked and was easy to use. Beds comfortable. Clean. Good location for me this trip.

It was noisy. I was at the top of the stairs and there is no carpeting in this hotel and I could hear people coming and going.

The location was good.

There were literally flies all over the bathroom and it was disgusting. Hardly any circulation. I told front desk and she tried to blame the room door being open. She was nice but dismissive about it. I’ve never stayed in a hotel with an infestation like this and it was gross. They were nasty drain flies or an infestation had nothing to do with outside. Door between my room and other room was unlocked (should’ve been checked prior to arrival) and fridge was not plugged in, so it was useless.

Needs to have money put into renovations. Needs exterior improvements. No second chance at first impression
