CAJorge was the most attentive and helpful host. From greeting us on arrival, the tour of the property, and stories about how he came to be here with his family, we felt welcomed and well looked after. The location is perfect, as the property runs right down to the beach through manicured flowers and trees on a stone pathway. Our room had spectacular views of the beach and the ocean. The sunrises were gorgeous. We stayed in the triple room, which had a private balcony. The room and bathroom were spacious, and the air conditioning was a nice touch, even though the sea breeze kept the room pleasant. We had a fridge, and hot drinks station in the room. Lying in bed listening to the ocean lulled us to sleep. To be greeted in the morning with a delicious breakfast on the terrace, by the pool. There is also a shared kitchen if you prefer to make your own meals. It is such a peaceful little tropical haven a short drive off the main highway, you are transported to another world.
There is not much to say as we loved everything here, but to keep the review realistic, I would say if you have any mobility issues (which we didn't) then the stairs access to the room may be a difficulty. The property is a colonial, older-style home, which for us added to its charm, and may benefit from a few decorative touch-ups. But it does not detract from the wonderful experience of staying at Cafe Gourmet. Our main disappointment was we only stayed two nights, and would certainly love to come back again.
DEJorge ist ein toller Gastgeber! Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Sylvester-Party am Strand, es gab Aktionen für die Kinder, Lagerfeuer und ein PotLuck Dinner. Auf unsere Kritik am Zimmer hat uns Pizzen ausgegeben und am Abreisetag Frühstück gemacht. Die Lage am Strand ist einmalig! Den Strand hatten wir fast für uns alleine... Baden konnte man super! Es gab kaum Strömung durch den Fluss oder Tiden.
Das Familienzimmer war sehr klein, von den 36qm laut Anzeige konnte ich höchsten (mit viel GoodWill) 20qm ausrechnen. Der Pool war für die Kinder ok, für Erwachsene nur Knie-tief, also nicht mehr als eine große Badewanne.

DEJorge ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber. Er hat uns viel erzählt, morgens den Strand vor seinem Haus gefegt und ein gutes Frühstück bereitet. Das Haus ist ein hochherrschaftliches Relikt mit viel Charme. Der Blick von den Balkonen und von der Terrasse auf den Strand ist toll. Obst zum Frühstück
Der Strand ist dreckig. Die Treppen sowohl zu den Zimmern (Jorge bewohnt das Erdgeschoss) als auch zum Strand sind sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig.
PTPAThis is the perfect place to relax and enjoy. I normally don’t do 10/10 because there’s always room for improvement, but this place is just perfect. Amazing host, comfy beds, extremely spacious. It’s definitely worth the stay and the price is nothing compared to all you get
