The Grey's Inn

The host Ged is incredibly welcoming and a mine of information about the history of Africa. There is so much character to his restaurant /bar. I totally recommend as a stop of on your African adventures.

Room was clean

Terrible location noisy enter premises through a bar scrap lying all over the place. My wife did not feel safe there showers Luke warm not hot. After the experience we we were not going to risk the breakfast even though it was included. All the Geusts left and went to Millie’s for Breakfast

The location

It was loud at night, we needed to sleep cause we had a marathon the next day. There's a pub in the premises. The bedding had a funky smell, the toilet loud after flushing, absolutely overpriced for such a place. The place needs a lot of attention

Location not far from the freeway. The lady there tried to compensate for all the trouble of checking different rooms by giving dinner on the house and I appreciated that because we literally moved from one room to the next.

Checked in at 18h00 but only got a room at 19h00 after having to go through 4 different rooms. We eventually settled for Room 3, other rooms had lots of ants/ beds not up to standard. The noise from the pub and males who were speaking at our window until around midnight was the worst. After having traveled more than 400kms with a 3 year old and traveling another 500kms the next day, not being afforded a good night sleep was just so wrong. Called the owner at 22h00 but even after he said he would adress it, the noise was the same. 7Am the males who were there in a bakkie were at it again with the noise. There was no respect for us in the room and that was so disappointing. We basically paid for rest over the night but did not get that. The noise stopped after midnight and loud voices interrupting our sleep at 7Am. For the amount of R1750 paid, the room doesn't meet the standard, it's overpriced. Old linen, bathroom with no ventilation, 1 plastic spoon available for both tea cups, no option of tea, only ricoffy.

The bedding and the room need to be improved to match the price. There was no decoder for the TV in the room and I was promised that it is going to be sorted which did not happen and no explanation was given until I slept. No chair to seat in the room
