The Umah Prahu

We love love love this place! Location is pretty good, near to night market and nice cafes like The Chill Penida. Staff was incredibly friendly, accommodative, and informative. Breakfast is provided, it was nasi goreng and pretty tasty. Open view to the ocean from our room with lovely sound of wave. Room is clean and spacious. We will stay here again when we return in future.

The staff at the resort are excellent. They make you feel truly welcome and help out with everything, including arranging a motorbike with driver for me to take me around the island. The facilities are really good and offer great value for money. I found the boat-shaped bungalows to be very comfortable. The breakfasts are good. The resort is in a quiet area of Nusa Penida, but there are several restaurants and some basic shops around. Those who stay here get a discount at the local place called the Corner Bar, which has great food and drinks, as well as an awesome sea view.

This is not a swimmable beach. Having that said, the environment is very peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful views of Gunung Agung in good weather. I still enjoyed it a lot.

The Umah Prahu Bungalows are exactly what the pictures promise: a really beautiful, relaxed way to stay on Nusa Penida, with an amazing view. The staff was really friendly, the breakfast really good and the bed very comfortable. Also, a good Warung with nice views as well as a supermarket are right next door if you’re looking for food or water. We had a great time and would recommend this place to everyone visiting Nusa Penida!

Only one small caveat: don‘t expect a sandy beach from the pictures, that does not really exist in Nusa Penida‘s north!

the hotel is located near the sea, but not possible to swim. Funny bungalow that looks like boat.

the breakfast is small and not tasty. Not all people can speak English. The room and bathroom isn’t clean.
