The tranquility of the place, the kindness of the staff and the cleaness of everything... It's 15 mins walking from the village

Maybe the room could be brighter, but otherwise really good!

This place is like an island of peace. The small huts are just what any backpacker would need. The hammocks were super comfortable and we enjoyed relaxing at the property. The island hopping tour we booked through the accommodation was also very nice.

The location is a bit hard to find, we had to ask many people to find it. Would be nice to have some signs from the main road.

"Quiet and relaxing, great value"

One of our favourite accommodations in our visit to the Philippines, the family is so kind and was able to organise buses and boat tours for us. Dong is also a ship captain and a highlight for us was the boat tour with him. Cannot recommend staying here enough!

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! - RATS! (With video proof!) I will start off by saying that I’m not the kind of person who normally writes reviews, but this time I had to! (So hopefully this can save you some headache in the future) First off, the bungalows are INFECTED with RATS, and upon arriving there were rat shit all over the bed… also, when I tried to go to sleep I saw the rats crawling in the ceiling and in the walls. If this is not bad enough, when I went to the hostess and asked if we could find a solution to getting them out, I was met with a awful attitude and she was furious at me for even addressing the rats as problem! She found it so outrageous (that I found it utterly DISGUSTING, that I had to sleep with several rats in my room) that she was calling me all kinds of slurs because of this. I finally managed to get two of the rats out, but even then I was woken up several times by them running in the ceiling and the walls. When I thought it couldn’t get any worse: (Context: we already had a deal where I was supposed to sleep one night in a room she rented out at her home.) - When I asked about this the morning after, she said- quote “Go find another place to live, since you have such a problem with rats” Hope you avoid this yourself, by booking another place in Port Barton!

"Perfect simple & clean bungalow to unwind & explore in Palawan!"

10.0

-Super friendly staff, they really made the visit great -Location slightly outside of the buzz was perfect, a short motorbike ride away -Excellent value! Really what more could we say…also a lot of ease with renting motorbikes, refilling water… -We did a lot of boat tours in Philippines, the tour with Dong was the most chill and memorable, we really enjoyed -I see other comments about roosters and dogs making noises…I mean anywhere you go you will hear some roosters, personally I am a light sleeper and just had my earplugs sometimes and slept just fine, some days didn’t event need them -The water temperature was just perfect for us, not cold at all -No bugs or mosquitoes in the bungalow, and it was super nice and cool, no need for AC!

Great value for money. The place is a little bit on the side so it's relatively quiet although be prepared for early wake up by roosters if you're not wearing earplugs ;) Staff was very friendly and helped us arrange a snorkeling trip which was great. Bungalows are perfect for this price. There is a little terrace in front where you can chill, bed is quite comfy, there is a mosquito bed and overall everything is fine. You can order simple but very cheap breakfast from the staff and you can also make yourself instant coffee which is complimentary. Water refill is also free which is pretty much a standard in Philippines. In the beginning we had a small issue with water pressure but that got resolved quite quickly so again a plus for the staff for prompt action.

Be aware that there is no hot water in the shower and that walls of bungalows are extremely thin so you'll hear everything. Room was quite dark. Extra light bulb would be appreciated. If you're looking for an exclusive stay that's not a place for you. Nevertheless, still great value for money.
