The Rose and Crown

Friendly owners and staff, comfy beds, good sized room, excellent facilities, good bar and restaurant areas, tasty breakfast with amazing coffee.

On road parking which was very busy when we arrived, possibly down to the popularity of the restaurant tho!. Heavy downpour which unfortunately led to a leak in the bedroom ceiling but it looks to be being addressed currently.

Straight out into rural Yorkshire. Not 3 minutes walk and you have breathtaking views. The Pub staff were very welcoming, even helped me upstairs with one of my bags which was greatly appreciated, rooms were clean and it had a good functioning shower. The bonus is the excellent food served downstairs in the restaurant and a marvellous English breakfast. For the beer lovers there's a nice selection. I shall be returning

The only thing, it wasn't a dislike but I was conscious of the creaky floor and was worried I may disturb other residents. To avoid my early start to the airport making a disturbance I loaded my bags to the car the night before

A little hard to find with google sat Nav, must put in the Post Code, then ask google for the Rose and Crown, the street parking was Ok as it is at the end of the village

The freshly cooked breakfast was excellent and the room was very comfortable.

There’s only one street parking which could be difficult when the pub is busy

Friendly staff made us welcome, clean bedroom, warm with lots of hot water, lovely breakfast and very good value for money

Evening meal - Excellent choice on the menu .Very good value and very good food .Home cooking ! Room - clean tidy - Warm and quite Breakfast - excellent cooked breakfast .Plenty of choice and cooked to order Great Gluten Free options all round Staff were all very friendly

Very friendly staff. Excellent food for dinner and breakfast. Enjoyed being asked to join the pub quiz
