Baldachin Inn

The building and location are exceptional and lovely! Very impressed by the friendly service I received. The waitress went out of her way to be helpful and even brought me a small side salad I requested, that had not been offered on the menu! The room was spotlessly clean with a delightful selection of antique furniture giving it a unique ambiance.

This is not really a criticism. The Baldachin Inn is a heritage property, which they make very clear in their description of the property when advertising. You will need to be able to climb a few stairs to get to your accommodation. There is no reason why you cannot take your time in doing so but you must be physically able to do it. I hope that a way may be found to make the lovely rooms more accessible to all at some point in the future.

In beautiful little Merrickville at Christmas season for a concert at the Pews! Check in a bit glitchy, but overall wonderful experience. Excellent manager Lorrie resolved glitches and all was well!! Would return in a heartbeat!

Very quaint little inn on the main street of a shop filled small town. Inn's restaurant was mediocre at best. Servers were awesome. Food below average. I was hoping for more. We still had a great time.

The Baldachin Inn is a lovely old property with plenty of character. If you are a light sleeper, I'd suggest asking for a room facing onto the garden, as the main road off the north side of the building gets some traffic noise - in spite of it being a really small town. The room was very comfortable and clean and the staff are wonderful. I did not eat in the restaurant on this trip, but have had breakfast there before and it was very good.

A basic room, nothing special. Tv was difficult to work. Couldn't adjust the volume so too loud to watch, also coffee maker didn't work, and no blow dryer FYI

The inn is a beautiful historic building in a lovely small town outside Ottawa. Main issue was the COMPLETE lack of hot water and the presence of staff onsite only when the restaurant is open (lunch & dinner)

Le service. Le personnel était absent la seule fois que nous avons vous quelqu’un c’était dans le restaurants qui sert d’accueil à l’hôtel et clairement nous la dérangions dans son service.
