A really inexpensive overnight stay in a village pub with good beer and an excellent cooked breakfast. Personal service. Quiet location.

For the money, there is absolutely nothing to complain about.

Lovely friendly staff. Excellent home cooked food from a sensible menu with good choices. Comfortable compact bedroom with good ensuite bathroom facilities. Private parking,

If there had been space for a bedside table each side of the bed that would have been more convenient. The parking area is quite restrictive if there are several vehicles together.

Exceptional value for money.

We ate there on two nights. The food was homemade and very enjoyable.

There was little space between the end of the bed and the wall. To get to the bathroom, you had to shuffle sideways. Food is only available for short periods (e.g. evenings between 18:00 and 19:30). We were unable to have breakfast because we had to leave early each morning. That was our fault, not the pub's. However, no reduction or alternate arrangement was offered.
