Chongos Place

We loved our stay at Chongos Place! It’s the perfect location for those looking to relax and be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown La Fortuna. The grounds are beautiful. We loved sitting out on our bungalow porch and watching all the animals graze at the farm next door, not to mention the amazing view of The Arenal Volcano. It’s truly a hidden gem! We will definitely be back 💛

Very quiet location with lots of wildlife around. Near some amazing restaurants and cafes also. The manager was lovely. The pool is nice and refreshing in the hot afternoons.

I loved how quiet and peaceful this place is. I believe it only has a few private rooms but they are amazing. I had my own patio and room with tons of space for a very fair price. The view of the volcano is amazing on a clear day! They also have a pool and hot tub which is a nice feature. The staff are extremely friendly and live right next door to the property to assist you with your needs. Even though this place is about 2 miles from downtown, the peacefulness and ability to hear the sounds of the rainforest pretty much make up for it. I highly recommend this place especially if you have a car!

Theres very few things I disliked about this property. My only complaints would be no breakfast included and that it is 2 miles away from downtown. I am up for challenges so I walked everywhere and it was not a huge deal but that might be difficult for some without a car, but ubers are widely available I heard!

Eine sehr schöne, saubere Unterkunft mit einem kleinen Pool zur Abkühlung. Es war alles da was man braucht um sich selbst zu versorgen. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und sprach sogar deutsch. Die Unterkunft liegt etwas außerhalb, aber mit unserem Moped oder einem günstigen Uber, kamen wir überall hin.

No me gustó que dada la zona, había olor a humedad en la habitación y costó que saliera agua caliente, con baja potencia, la habitación es pequeña pero tiene una terraza donde uno se puede sentar

Everything was clean. The host was very nice and helpful. It is very close to the center of La Fortuna.
