The Tempest Arms

The reception staff was excellent every day. Most of the food service staff was lovely. All the food we tried was delicious. We needed some help from reception to find light switches, work the tv remote and Lauren went out of her way to make sure everything was in good working order in our room.

When we arrived on Sunday we had no parking space and sat in the lot for about 20 minutes for a car to leave from the Sunday Lunch. We had a negative experience on our first dinner reservation being seated by a waiter who really did not seem at all interested in the fact we did have a reservation, and left us standing for five minutes at the podium after we told him we had a table reserved. Perhaps he had a long day but so had we.

Lovely property, with a proper country feel. Stunning room with garden view onto the river, felt very homely and spacious. Then breakfast including in the price which was delicious. Went into the pub on the evening with a lovely traditional log burning fire. Perfect weekend break, highly recommend!
