The most wonderful hotel in a stunning setting.

The ambiance of the pub was good, the grounds were well kept, both Sunday lunch and breakfast were excellent with very large portions.

We had a room below the restaurant facing the lawned area where there were numerous patio benches, this meant that privacy in the room was compromised by the floor to ceiling patio doors forming the front wall of the room. This feature did however allow lots of light into the room. The room itself was reasonably decorated and appeared clean. The facilities in the room however were fairly rudimentary. there were wooden bedside shelves as opposed to tables, these has a sloping front which reduced the usable surface. Tea and coffee making facilities were present. An upright fan was available but no air conditioning. There was no refrigerator available in the room. The only storage area was an open cloths hanging area. The bathroom had a shower and toilet with the smallest hand basin I have ever seen. there was only one small wooden shelf in the whole bathroom for toiletries and no shelf in the shower cubicle at all. There was a smart TV but as there was no internet available in the room and hence, the smart function did not work. Mobile coverage for O2 was non existent in the room. The bed was uncomfortable and certainly did not encourage oversleeping ! Although the food was excellent in the restaurant, tea served in the bar was poor - the tea pot was a third full of hot water and provided a very small cup of tea. When asked the staff did provide additional hot water but this should have been addressed without needing to be requested.

Wasn’t aware that the restaurant is closed from 4pm on a Sunday, bed was very uncomfortable and pillows were lumpy. Inhaling cleaning chemicals during breakfast whilst the main bar is being cleaned

Super gutes Frühstück. Auch das Abendessen war toll. Grundsätzlich eine sehr gute Küchencrew und ein sehr freundlicher Service. Die Lage wie auch die Zimmer war sehr gut, wir haben den Aufenthalt hier sehr geniessen können.

Waiting around to find a member of staff, happened on arrival, for breakfast and check out just no one around and stood there waiting.
