The Queens Head Kettlesing

On arrival we were given a warm welcome at The Queens Head which is a comfortable country inn 7 miles from Harrogate set in a village location. It was very cold outside but inside there was a cosy log fire in the bar/restaurant and our bedroom was warm and cosy. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Our room and ensuite bathroom were spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. During our stay we enjoyed a cooked breakfast and an evening meal - the food was delicious, hot, fresh and served promptly by friendly staff. I had a fish dish from the specials board along with treacle sponge pudding and custard (the best I've ever tasted). We have already planned a second stay and can thoroughly recommend The Queens Head to anyone seeking good food, comfort and great hospitality.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious, warm and comfortable. The cooked breakfast was amazing.

Just a small quibble - the pressure in the shower wasn't great. The staff tried to rectify the problem immediately and replaced the shower hose and head. It did improve things slightly. There is always the bath instead of the shower.

The accommodation was cosy and comfortable. Louise made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the breakfast too.

Beautiful location, wonderful food and really friendly, helpful staff. The food (breakfast and evening meal) was exceptional and being in such a cosy bar area made it even more enjoyable! The location was fantastic too - a beautiful, quiet village surrounded by gorgeous scenery, and just a few miles taxi ride into Harrogate. I would absolutely recommend The Queen's Head and will definitely go again!

Unfortunately the boiler had broken down the morning of my arrival, so the central heating wasn't working. However, a portable heater was provided in my room, so this thankfully took the edge off the cold. However, this didn't spoil my visit at all - and it made me appreciate the cosy log fire in the bar/restaurant area even more!

We only stayed for one night but wished we were staying longer. Lovely pub and we were thrilled with our room, it was large, clean and had everything we needed. The family were friendly and made us so welcome. Before we left we had the best breakfast, all freshly cooked and plenty of it. We will definitely be back when we are in that area again. The en suite bathroom was looked Ng a little tired.

Everything was just perfect. Family run and all were so friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Very homely. The food was excellent. Would definitely stay again.
