Awesome Balboa Park View with Huge Balcony in SD

The apartment is centrally located, close to the park and downtown, which was convenient. My guest also wasn’t bothered by the airplane noise, though it is quite noticeable.

I had a very disappointing experience with this property. Upon arrival, the staff addressed me rudely and publicly lectured me in front of the guest I had booked the room for, warning that I would be held responsible if anything was damaged. This was not only inappropriate but also incredibly embarrassing — especially as it was the guest's first day in the U.S. and their first impression of hospitality here. In addition, it was unnecessarily difficult to obtain basic information such as the property’s exact location and a formal invoice. I had to follow up multiple times before receiving the documentation I needed. Overall, the lack of professionalism and poor communication made for a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this property to others.

Good location across the street from Balboa park

Access to apartment was difficult - no instructions were sent after arriving at the apartment, and calling the property. The answer was to use code 1 but we never received this. We booked for four people but bedding but not towels were provided - tried to contract reception but no one was in. Very tight quarters for 4 people. Not recommended! Took a deposit but this was not refunded until a month later when I had to chase it up via booking, otherwise they would have kept it.

This place is literally across the street from Balboa Park! You can walk over the cabrillo bridge right into the heart of Balboa Park and enjoy all of the museums and attractions. The apartment has a small kitchenette that includes a sink, microwave, and refrigerator. For those that love patios and balconies. There is a huge balcony with enough room to sit outside in the sun and enjoy the view of the park. For those that love this location for being close to Balboa Park and Seaport village, it is amazing!

Yes there was the sound of airplanes landing, which is typical for bankers Hill and anywhere near the airport. But the view and location make up for the occasional plane flying overhead. Ear plugs are highly recommended and I kind of wish the property might include them for their guests in the future 🙂

Awful amount of low flying commercial airplane noise at ALL hours, impacting sleep and sanity. Staff totally unwilling to assist with a modification. A number of smaller inconveniences like no stop in the shower, no hand towel or floor mat, scuffs and chipped paint throughout, homeless all around that neighborhood, etc but the biggest issue was the noise. After the first night, I went to the manager and asked to be let out of the remainder of my booked stay because my sleep was soo poorly impacted by the plane noise, even with noise canceling earphones. He wouldn't budge, 3 more nights of awful sleep really ruined my trip. The noise was soo loud from the plains b/c this hotel sits right underneath the path for them to land.

It's small for anything more than 2 people--essentially one room with trundle bed under the full bed and a sofa bed, sink, microwave, coffee maker, closet and bath--would check to see if 350 square feet includes balcony.

Very secure. Three sets of locks to get into rooms. Front gate lock, floor lock and then room lock. In spite of being in the flight path, the room was quiet. Also liked the patio. Enjoyed my coffee there.

Purchased parking on site for 2 nights. While there was free parking across the street, it seemed safer for the car and me to be in their parking lot.

On the airport landing flight path so it's a little loud on the balcony. It is not too bad when inside with door closed. Space is a little tight for 3 people. There was a little hiccup with our check in but the property manager showed up in about 15 minutes and straightened it out.
