The Old Tioga Inn Bed and Breakfast

The breakfasts were exceptional, hearty and delicious! Laura is a wonderful and imaginative cook. The surroundings are beautiful, whimsically good-humored, and sweet, with goats, chickens, and a sociable cat.

My only criticism is that the screen door didn't work well, so I couldn't open the door and enjoy the fresh air in my room. Not many bugs, but I didn't want to invite them in!

The breakfast was amazing. The owners were very friendly, and we felt so comfortable there. We loved it. We will definitely come back.

The only problem was that our refrigerator made some loud noises at times. Also, we had some bugs coming into our bathroom at our window air conditioning unit.

Our hostess, Laura, made us a wonderful breakfast and gave us very clear directions to find the inn. They turned out to be very necessary, since there is no cell connectivity in the area! The room we booked (the master loft) was roomy and had its own bathroom with a shower. The bed was comfortable, there was wifi connectivity, and a nice little sitting area. The cabin has great access to Ricketts Glen State Park and many local restaurants within a few miles. The area seems to close up by about 7:00 PM, so make sure you go out for dinner early! Laura has a few goats, a friendly kitty, and free ranging chickens, so if you love animals, this would make a great place to stay.

Some of the decor is a little dusty and cluttered, but it adds to the grandma's cabin charm. Overall, we had a really great stay here! Also, a complaint against Booking: I listed my stay with myself, my spouse, and my toddler. When Laura recieved the reservation, it didn't show my toddler, so she wasn't prepared for Amelia to stay with us. It turned out fine and Amelia just slept on the couch, but this isn't the first time I've had issues with Booking not providing hosts all of the relevant information I sent. Also, Laura noted that Booking charges a 20% fee, so she has to increase her price on the website.

It was pleasant and welcoming.

There was a slight mix up about the reservation.

Breakfast was good! The location is great especially if you are primarily there to hike at Ricketts glen park.

The walls were thin and we could hear conversations in the next rooms
