Harbor Guest House

We rented one of the two bedroom apartments with another couple for two nights in early June. There was no contact at arrival as the key to our unit was left in the mail box. The unit was on the second floor. There was parking for two cars directly in front of the unit. Each bedroom had an attached bathroom. The primary bedroom had a king bed and the second bedroom had two twin beds. The beds were comfortable and there was ample room for those that like to unpack their clothes if you are staying longer. The air conditioning worked well. We had a nice living room, dining room and full kitchen with a view of the harbor. The patio was very small but fit four chairs. It was a bit too buggy to sit outside. The accommodations were in walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend the Harbor Guest House for those looking for a place to stay in Fish Creek.

We stayed over our anniversary weekend, June 5-7 and had a very nice time. This was our first time anywhere since the start of the Pandemic. We had a one bedroom suite. It was very clean and I felt as though I was safe here.

I cannot say enough about our experience at Harbor Guest House! I called and spoke to Liz for our reservation. She made it very simple for us. We were in Unit 4 (an upstairs 2 bedroom unit). Upon entry, I saw the beautiful view! It’s gorgeous (as you can see in my pictures)! I usually clean when I arrive at any rental, but this place was literally immaculate! Furniture looked and felt new in the living room. Every appliance was in excellent condition! Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, toaster were all spotless! Pots, pans, and silverware were available. The carpet and draperies also looked new! The wood burning fireplace was a unique feature that we used every night! There is plenty of firewood right outside the door. They even included fire starters! The shower had so much pressure, it felt wonderful! The bed was king size and very comfortable. We walked to The White Gull Inn for breakfast, and Bayside Tavern for one of our dinners. This place is a beautiful, quiet, peaceful, clean, unique, relaxing gem with plenty of windows to enjoy the view! We loved it so much, we stayed an extra day! Great place 😊

Our first stay at the Harbor Guest House....however, it has been our 7th time staying in Fish Creek. This visit was by far the best! Stayed 7 nights in a one bedroom. The unit was immaculate and the staff was great. Karina was there to answer all our questions and Liz suggested places we had not visited in in the past. The views from our balcony cannot be beat. We spoke to other residents who said that they have been returning for 20 years. That is a true statement of how wonderful this place is. We have already booked our stay for next year and this is our place from now on...

Christmas is best time in door county. Lodging rates are half off high season. Plenty to shop and walk. Large clean comfortable space at Harbor Guest House. Pleasant staff. Great view from all the rooms too. Comfortable beds

My wife and I both were surprised when, in conversation with a local business owner, we calculated that (in September) we were enjoying our 15th stay at The Harbor Guest House. For what we seek in Fish Creek, there is no better place: The sign may say suites, but the accommodations are one and two bedroom apartments: Nicely decorated. Welcoming and comfortable. Full kitchen (though who wants to cook on vacation?).. Dining area. Living room. Huge fireplace with supplied wood. Large bath. Apartments are clean, regularly redecorated. Friendly, welcoming staff. Short walk to Fish Creek shops and restaurants, easy drive to the rest of the peninsula. Great view, naturally better from second floor units. No kids. No smoking, No pets. No phones, either, something of an irritant when the change was first made, but we all carry cell phones -- don't we? For us, the Harbor Guest House has become part of the vacation experience. Give it a try.

I’ve wanted to stay here since I saw it over 20 years ago, and our 4 night stay did not disappoint! Luckily we were able to get Room 4, the large 2 bedroom unit, for a last minute stay. It is very large, upstairs, with the perfect view of the harbor. The weather was unseasonably cool, and we enjoyed a wood burning several nights. There’s plenty of seasoned wood and fire starters provided. In fact, everything you could think of is provided. Beautifully decorated and perfectly clean, it is one of the homiest and quietest places we’ve ever stayed. Comfortable beds, updated bathrooms, and stylish decor. I hope we can return in the future.

We have been coming here since early ‘80’s. By far the best place to stay. Important to book early since it is usually sold old for most of summer and early fall. Easy to walk out to docks for viewing as well as town.

We just returned from four great days in Door County at the Harbor Guest House. Four couples each had one of the one bedroom accommodations. They were immaculate and fully furnished, including dishwasher, disposal, microwave, stove, etc. Cable TV in living room and bedroom. Fresh linens available daily. Great AC. Very convenient to town, walk to great restaurants and shopping. On site parking. Wonderful waterfront location and view. Each had either small deck or patio with grill. Definitely will return.

My husband, myself and our eight month old stayed for fourth of july weekend. This place is wonderful - very good location to town and various shopping and restaurants and awesome view of the bay. We stayed in the #5 upstairs unit. The staff was very friendly. The view of the fireworks for Fish Creek Fourth of July was unbeatable - it is also very close walking distance to the little fourth of july festival. The two complaints I have about the stay would be: our kitchen was infested with ants when we arrived. They got into our fruit and food we had on the counter. They seemed to be coming from under the windowsill near the sink and we tried to clean with Lysol to get them to go away, but they didn't. Also, the pillows in the bedroom were very flat. I had to stack two of them together so I didn't get a neck ache. Overall, those were minor imperfections. I really liked this place and would stay again someday.
