Abian Dauh Sidemen

I stayed one night at Abian Dauh Sidemen, and it was enough to understand why this village is often described as one of Bali’s hidden gems. Sidemen’s landscapes are breathtaking, with endless rice terraces framed by the mountains, and if you book a mountain-view room here, the panorama alone is worth the trip. Waking up to that view felt like living in a postcard. The two young women running the place were a highlight — genuinely sweet, smiling, and always ready to help. The hotel also offers activities, which I didn’t have the chance to try, but it’s nice to know there are options if you want to explore more. My room was spotless and modern, contrary to some comments I had read before arriving. With air-conditioning and a comfortable bed, I slept incredibly well. The bathroom is semi-open, which I see as a smart way to keep the bedroom dry and mosquito-free, though I imagine it could feel chilly to shower at night or early morning. A plug-in mosquito repellent and a bit of spray kept me safe from bites. I’d happily come back and would recommend Abian Dauh Sidemen to travelers who want a peaceful, authentic escape in Bali with jaw-dropping views and warm local hospitality.

Breakfast was homemade and traditional — basic — but it did the job.

Everyting was perfect

La ubicación y la cercanía a varios servicios como lavandería, spa y warums.

La descripción de Booking es algo engañosa. Te dicen que tiene balcón y es la entrada a tu habitación que da directamente a la recepción. El Aire Acondicionado no enfriaba, el baño necesita bastantes mejoras y además teníamos obras encima del baño. No lo recomendaría.

Das Personal war sehr nett. Das Bett war bequem

Leider haben nur zwei der Zimmer einen schönen Blick auf die Reisfelder. Genau deshalb habe ich diese Unterkunft gebucht, aber leider kein Fenster und keinen Ausblick gehabt. Momentan werden Bauarbeiten getätigt am Grundstück nebenan wodurch es leider sehr laut war. Auch die Wände sind ziemlich hellhörig. Insgesamt also leider nicht erholend. Das Badezimmer sieht zwar schön aus, ist aber leider nicht in Ordnung. Die Dusche hatte keinen Duschkopf, sondern war einfach nur ein Strahl, der auch nicht warm wurde. Das Klo ist so platziert, dass man nur seitwärts darauf sitzen kann. Es gibt keine richtige Decke, sondern nur eine Abdeckung, wodurch es sehr laut ist.

Fijn om ergens binnen te komen en je direct welkom te voelen. De staff is erg vriendelijk, het uitzicht is geweldig en het bed ligt heerlijk. Mooie plek om de zon onder te zien gaan en op te komen. Vanaf het bankje is het alsof je een schilderij bekijkt. Ontbijten vanaf hier was ook geen straf. Ik zou zeker terugkomen.

Bij mij viel dit niet tegen, omdat ik op mijn scooter was, maar hou er rekening mee dat je anders iets omhoog moet lopen. Maar dat geeft je wel het mooie uitzicht.
