Bartons Mill Pub and Dining

Location, great food, great staff, dog friendly throughout, accommodation well away from the lively pub so pleasantly quiet. Lovely walks by the river, Basingstoke House and a recreation field for dogs to run.

Nothing to dislike. Maybe an easy chair could be fitted into the room?

Quiet, pleasant, clean rooms. Walk in shower was lovely with plenty of hot water. Bed was comfortable and a king size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice setting with walking trails on the doorstep. I would return.

Check in was a while as problem with payment for the customers before us. Grounds were a bit unkempt. The pub was quite busy in the evenings and with the sheer number of people came quite a bit of noise (though it didn't affect the bedrooms as these are away from and separate to the pub). Continental breakfast items weren't topped up (yoghurts, fruit etc). The water in our room had been opened.

Amazing!!!! I should have re booked this hotel again instead of the one I’ve booked this weekend! Such a lovely room! So cosy! Very clean and staff were amazing

Beautiful room, very clean and lovely products at the sink and in shower. Great coffee bags and tea selection with biscuits and small chocolate box which were lovely touches. Nice area outside rooms to sit at. Restaurant also great and enjoyed live music in the bar in the evening (last Friday of each month). Breakfast tasty, and lovely staff in all areas. Really enjoyable stay and love the beer garden next to the river.

1 mini milk bottle in room for coffees and teas, which was fine for the first day as it's long life, but no fridge in room and it needs to be refrigerated after opening so couldn't use it the next morning. Also the pastries ran out 40 mins before breakfast ended and weren't replenished, (but to be fair, the cooked breakfast was delicious and the continental bit was a bonus anyway so still very enjoyable!)

I got an odd room this time that was quite dark with low ceilings as compared with other rooms
