Finca Las Palmas Ecolodge

Wonderful location, not far from town but feels like you're in the jungle. I like that the finca is organic and there are lots of fruits and flowers growing. Excellent breakfast. The owner and people working there are very friendly, knowledgable and helpful.

There were a couple small things. I told the owner and he said they will be resolved for future guests.

We enjoyed our stay with Nelson at Las Palmas. He, and his young manager Victor, was so helpful and friendly. Our cabin was neat, clean and very comfortable and the pool was great. Breakfasts and the dinner we enjoyed at the Finca were delicious. Don’t hesitate to reserve here! You won’t regret it!! Milton, a local taxi driver, was very reliable and will take you to town for $5.

remoteness of the property. a bat in my room twice. cost me more for a taxi into town to pick up food for the afternoon and evening than the cost of the food

I enjoyed every moment of my stay at this beautiful lodge/farm, everything from discussions with the kind, hospitable staff to falling asleep and waking to the sounds of the forest.

Viktor one of the hostel staff was a great host. He was patient, friendly and helpful. He even showed us around the property and into the jungle at night and again in the morning via a small path that runs around the property. We saw lots of plants and insects and other animals . Viktor explained us details about the medicinal plants and showed us their cuy and chicken farm. The breakfast was really amazing. The lodges and their layout is really pretty. The beds were comfortable. Surprisingly we didn't have many mosquitos around. They are currently building a pool and Jacuzzi, which looks close to finished. There is a small fish pond with lots of frogs and some fish in it too.
