Great location. Large generous room. Good evening meal options.

Decent rooms in a modern hotel. Typical pub food.

Located in business estate. In spite of regular sanitising, tables all disgustingly sticky.

The evening meal was very good. We prebooked a table which was ok but we were in the children's section. Staff did off a quieter location but we decided it wasn't necessary. We stayed for one night breaking our journey home from Scotland. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean and the bed was comfortable. There was adequate storage space. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and choice of table position.

The toilet was tricky to flush. The push button was quite difficult to press in. It probably needs a little bit of maintenance work on it. That was the only thing we didn't like.

The room was clean, spacious, comfortable bed and tea, coffee, decaffeinated coffee plus milk and cookies provided.

The buffet breakfast was the worst I ever experienced. The only prepared option was english breakfast, toster was not working. The customer asked about it and heard 'it is just old' in response. Whatever time we came for breakfast, there were just a few hard fruits, one or two fried eggs, and a sad croissant. No choice for coffee. I used the hotel once before a few years ago and my memory was that it is a nice place to stay. Something has changed since than.

Son emplacement dans un grand carrefour fait que l'Amble Inn est facile d'accès, à l'écart du bourg sans en être très loin. Pas bruyant du tout malgré cela, (en tout cas pour les chambres donnant à l'arrière), il dispose d'un grand parking. Les chambres sont grandes et proposent tout le confort, tout comme la salle de bain. Le petit déjeuner est très complet et se prend dans le restaurant-pub. La carte de ce dernier est assez variée et les mets sont bien cuisinés; on peut y manger à n'importe quelle heure. L'ambiance y est sympathique et animée, le personnel est très aimable (mais ne parle qu'anglais) et il y a une grande terrasse.

Vu l'emplacement de l'hôtel, les chambres ne bénéficient d'aucune "belle" vue et celles du rez à l'arrière sont un peu sombres.

Breakfast

Breakfast was served in a cold room, cooked breakfast didn’t look appetising so I didn’t try in. Hot water for wasn’t hot enough for tea.
