Shrine Inn

The location is wonderful if you want to be away from the noise of the city. The balcony overlooks the park ... sp peaceful and beautiful. The owner was kind and helped procure a tuk tuk for us for a middle of the night departure to catch a train. The room was fine.

We did not find this an issue but some might. It is a 20 minute walk to the temple of the tooth (no need to go around the lake, there is a short cut close to the temple). Note that once you are down the hill (5 min walk), tuk tuks are plentiful if you would rather not walk

Die Lage der Wohnung ist etwas außerhalb und deshalb ruhig. Zu Fuß erreicht man en Tempel in ca. 15 Min. Die Zimmer waren einfach aber sauber. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer (Familie) für zwei Nächte.

Die Matratzen waren durchgelegen (Erwachsenenzimmer). Für die Kinder (13 u. 15 Jahre) war es gut.

The price is very good and the woman in charge is nice. We liked the location as it was quiet but it is 15min walk ti the main temple.

The first night a big cockroach appeared in the toilet and the second night a dead lizard in the middle of the room. Maybe it was bad luck but for us it was a bit dramatic to manage and conditioned our experience. Despite the woman was nice she didn’t actually help us much since we asked for advice to find a spa and a tuktuk trip to nuwara eliya without any reply in any of the inquirees. Also, the comforter on the beds looked a little dirty to us. There were some sheets provided to sleep under, but we used them as an extra top sheet and had to ask for one more to cover ourselves.

Posizione tranquilla e silenziosa, per questo raggiungibile quasi solo in tuk tuk. Colazione molto buona e abbondante. La proprietaria gentile e accogliente.

Saubere, komfortable Zimmer und sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Wir haben sogar das Frühstück extra zeitig bekommen, weil wir früh abreisen mussten.
