Dar Wadada

Location was amazing. Quiet on top of the mountain with view of Chefchaouene. We had the best breakfast and Rachid cooked amazing Paella. On top of this Rachid guided us to Chefchaouene and made the cutest film/video for us and my parents. We miss you Rachid!!!

Dar Wadada is exceptional in many ways and I was lucky to have stayed in this wonderful place. Out of the town and up in the hills it is tranquil with stunning views and walks. easy to walk in to town and there is a free lift back up the hill - or in to town if needed. The gardens are lovely to sit in and watch the sun set. the rooms are comfortable and well furnished and it it is quiet at night. Selma is lovely and makes a very good breakfast- and plenty of it. she also cooked a tagine for me at night which was one of the best I had on my trip. but the real star is the owner, Rachid. unfailingly cheerful and positive he lifts the spirits and can’t do enough to help the place is infused with his positive energy. I wished that I could have stayed longer and hope that I will be able to return to this special place.

Beautiful location looking across the valley to Chefchaouen. An oasis of calm and great hospitality. Racid and Selma were great hosts. We had dinner one night on the terrace which proved to be one of our best meals in Morocco. Lovely walk of about 30 mins past the Spanish Mosque into town.

Not so much didn't like but to be aware that access to Dar Wadada is up a rough track. Racid provides transfer by minivan which worked really well.

Fantastic host. Fantastic location. Lovely house. Tea and water on the table for us on arrival. Nightingales competing right off the terrace. Not for everyone, but if you're into holidaying with some patina, away from the hubbub and Chefchaouen's fridge-magnet sellers, this is your place.

Simply magical place, highly recommended

We loved this beautiful rural accommodation with Mediterranean vibe and open minded atmosphere that creative host Rachid sets. We booked 1 night and stayed 3. It is the perfect spot when you are in for the best of both: - a visit to the beautiful but touristy medina of Chefchaouen on 25 minute waking distance (gorgeous hike by the way) - hiking the rural mountain area and small villages or go for mountain hikes with a guide Rachid can arrange. Backpackers can easily get here because Rachid is happily arranging a affordable pickup from the Grand taxi or bus stations. Breakfast, lunch and diner with dietary specs were very good. Just say what you want and Rachid takes care of it. This property has a gorgeous view right over the medina of Chefchaouen and the country side. It is for you when you want tranquility, beauty, comfort and a splash of the blue city.
