Noisy neighbourhood

Very comfortable and the location was good.

Everything was good.

The place was clean and the lady who gave us the keys was pleasant.

The room was in a shared apartment. I had no idea that I would be sharing the space with a complete stranger. Also, the key fob to the gate at the entrance didn’t work when I needed it the most. When I tried contacting the lady in charge, I didn’t get a response until 2 hours later. Luckily someone else from the building opened the gate, but I was late to my appointment at the US embassy because of this.

Great location for what where going to do in the area

The AC did not work and the staff was a bit loud late at night and very early in the morning

Good location near the U.S. embassy when you want a stable and early arrival. ~15min walk. The lady is nice and helpful (tho she seems not to be the actual landlord). AC working well in the bedroom (only fan in living room). And decorations do have a flavour.

Most furnitures have rather poor quality. Scruffy cabinets, leaking fridge, gas water heater, rough bed plank, near transparent curtain, clogged shower drain, etc. It's not good even considering the price. And many bugs as well, though it may not be their fault. Also, be aware that they might want you to request a refund from your booking website and give them money directly instead for some tax/fee issues.

We were greeted by a very friendly person, Judy. The apartment was clean and larger than expected. When I go back to Santo Domingo we will stay there again.

The bed was a little hard.
