El Shaddai

Clean and quiet place. The owner and his wife helped me with everything I needed, they even booked the bus for me! I had a delicious dinner there. The place to stay in Mannar. Thank you very much again.

Relaxed backpacker place. All a bit aged but ok. Slept very well. Very friendly owner and nice atmosphere. The owner organised a scooter to rent. You really need one there as neither the beaches nor the town are in walking distance. With a scooter you can explore the island nicely. The long morning walk from the old Dutch lighthouse to Saint Anthony's chapel and the beach beyond the Talaimannar lighthouse were my favourite places.

Enjoyed a comfortable peaceful stay. Room and toilet were clean and nice. Vimal was friendly and helpful.

The friendly guest house owner and his family and the meals that his wife cooked were delicious and the time he and his family took to make sure I enjoyed my stay.

The mosquitoes coming into my bedroom at night because of a mosquito mesh that was in need of repair and mosquitoes at night on the verandah at night.The iced water dispenser was not dispensing chilled water but there was a fridge available to store drinks and food in the dining area.

Nice homestay with a lovely family. Very good home cooking breakfast and dinner. It’s outside Mannat, country side. Eventually you can rent scooter.

Nice and quiet Place, little bit outside the town. Very nice Rooms. The Place in front of the house is perfect for some relaxing outside. The family and there kids are very friendly.

I had a great time staying at El Shaddai, Vimal was very keen to help and all his family was very welcoming! Food is very good! It's a good location to go exploring the island, and there is a pond at walking distance which is a good place for birdwatching!
