Red Lion Rooms - Self Check In

I travel a lot and in the last few weeks, stayed in Devon, Cornwall, and now Dalton. What a pleasant surprise. Rooms are very well appointed but if you are over 6ft tall beware, this ancient traditional pub is high on the feature list, low on the ceilings. Big rooms with so many levels , the trip down the corridors is an adventure, but very cool. Nice staff and locals. Big shower an advantage as last week in Ilfracombe the shower was so small ,I couldn't get in. Lol Looking for an original olde worlde pub,, yes. Food just down the road in their sister pub, served the best burger I have ever had.

Slight damp smell in rm 4, but open window soon cleared it.

Self check in, lounge and coffee machine made it much better than a normal hotel.

We've just got back from another great stay at the Red Lion rooms. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was lovely to have use of a lounge and coffee machine, and the little breakfast provided and mini fridge in the room was most welcome.
